Story is Everything!

Hello,

I'm glad this week came to an end because I was able to finish so much stuff during a stressful time. Ever since the start of last winter break, my time management and origination keeps getting better and better. I think the biggest thing that has helped me understand is how much work I can put in every day.

Anyways, I was able to finish a 2D Animatic for Team Crab. As stated in the previous blog post, I felt like our shot list was just non-existent. So I am glad I thought about the cameras and the story because everything from my team seemed to enjoy my animatic. There's obviously room for improvement, but now my team has a sense of what's going to be on camera and a layout where our characters take place in the environment.

Here are some panels that I think look pretty cool :)

I was also able to work on rigging. I started rigging the turtle and whale, mostly just the joints and controls so once I get the finished mode of these characters I can bind the skin, etc.

For team Dim, I was extremely busy with team crab and didn't really have time to work on some VFXs for Ring Master. I'm also doing some demo reel stuff, so time and sleep have been precious. Once these next two weeks are over, I'll have more time for dim.

Things to work for next week:

Team Crab;

- Keep working on crabby, turtle, and whale rig

- Start the layout for animation, specifically sequence 02

- Revise/Add Shots in the Animatic

Dim;

- Keep working on Ring Master's VFX in UE5
