Hello, good day! Haven't been up to date with these blogs, but I did make some progress from the last blog. I mostly worked on Crabby's rig because I ran up with some issues, and I had to get a ton of help from another classmate and professor. Since I'm also such a noobie on rigging, I feel like every step of rigging a cartoon character is so challenging. While I've been suffering, I've been enjoying how to rig correctly, or better saying, knowing my options and procedures.
Thanks to the handy dandy YouTube, I've been able to create controls for the eye pupils.
My team for Crabby has also established some goals by the end of this semester:
- Finish textures and models for all environmental/prop assets
- Finish rigging for all characters, so the animation can initiate during winter break/next semester
Just yesterday, (Friday 18th), worked on the Task Time Sheet that professor Jeremy helped on every other team.
My own personal goals:
- Have crabby all polished by the end of the semester and test some animation through UE5
- Be done with rigging on the other secondary characters: turtle, whale, fish, (maybe octopus aha)
- Get some camera and lighting accomplished
